Every Sunday my family and I try to take a break from our daily activities and just relax, I call it our Sabbath day. It is a day for us to be still and reflect upon all of our blessings from God, and most of all be grateful for all the people we get to share this life with.
Working daily with the elderly as a Medical Social Worker made me see how inevitable death really was, and how it could happen at any moment. There were times when I came to work and found out that the sweet old lady that I just spoke with the day before died during the night. I was so grateful to have that last conversation with her helping her rub lotion on her arms helping her to feel comfortable.
Make it a habit at least one time a week to get away from the hustle and bustle to take a Sabbath day. On your day of rest relax, be grateful enjoy moments with your family and friends.
Shout for joy to the Lord, all the earth. Worship the Lord with gladness; come before him with joyful songs. know that Lord is God it is he who made us, and we are his; we are his; we are his people the sheep of his pasture. (Psalms 100:1-3)
